Let us talk about 'Intuition', and cut it down to 2 kinds Male and Female intuition. The first of the two isn't spoken of much. That is because men, sit on a rock and think. They think things over, analyse their problems, stare into the fire. Take their time to see the pro's and con's. Don't really stand still to what makes them feel good, but what gets them into the least amount of trouble or the most gain.
Then Based upon that careful consideration they base their decision. And if that isn't possible, they have to trust their intuition. They go for it, and sometimes they are right, and sometimes they are wrong. They know they might fail. And the get on with their lives.

Then there is women. Women subconsciously gain a far larger information input into their brains and can process this without noticing. Because of this, they don't need as much time to think. And when they think they mostly try to imagine how a certain outcome would make them fail, not what practical gain or loss their choices might have. And often their gut feeling is right, and they are used to it. However women think, far more often then men, that they are right. They are often completely convinced about their right, and are willing to lose a lot only to keep close to that prospected feeling, even when they are horribly wrong.

So what good does this information, Women are more often right, but don't believe they are wrong when they are, and men are less often right, but can more easily accept and understand that. The women will feel better, and the men will have more gain. But how does this work with lying?

Due to their analytic nature, many men do not see the subtleness of body language of intonation and often have no idea what the woman believes. But he won't take bullshit. So if someone lies to a men, not matter how proficient in their body language, if something of the story doesn't add up, he will wonder, contemplate and either keep you under suspicion for a long time, or simply find out. If it does match his logical thinking, he will never find out, with the exception of a rare gut-feeling.
Due to their intuitive nature, most women manage to spot all the small lies. They read the body language, and intonation and can easily spot all the lies. However, if the body language and intonation of the spoken lie gives them the feeling they are expecting to get with the story. They will always believe it, and even defend it. Even if the story is just completely bullocks. If a woman gets emotional conformation about what she thinks is right, nobody can convince her otherwise, except over a large period of time and lots of effort.

In other words: Men, are easily fooled, but require elaborate schemes and very consistent stories for big lies, they are much harder to be fooled greatly.
Women, spot all the normal and small lies, but a good liar will be defended by them and so will the liars story.

In other words, in relationships, men are just petty liars and female affairs will be uncovered. And the women will know, but in the event of an affair, will be stupefied and hit by lightening. 



My advice? Don't lie to yourself, then you don't need to lie to other either.
