I hate birthdays

I just hate birthdays. It is actually pretty simple to see why. We don't know when we are going to do, so instead of a countdown we have a count up. We count the days we have lived so far, and celebrate we passed another year. But that is actually really silly. Why would you celebrate that another year has gone past? Do you celebrate the memories? Do you cherish the times you once had at that age? Whereas it is soo much better to just enjoy your life now. And every year older is still a year closer to death.

And if every year older is a year closer to death, then birthdays are us celebrating that we are having less and less time to live this awesome life?
Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit weird? I can't believe I am the only one. Instead, enjoy life, spread out your gifts, and live life to the fullest. So that when your last birthday comes, all you can think of is; Life is awesome.
