The Circle of (or lack thereafter)

The circle of [too many terms to write down] is a way of saying that everything you use or do, will return back (to you) somehow. Basically I probably don't need to give you all an example of what circles there are in this world, as you probably know at least a few. And that is just the point, looking at circles isn't really all that interesting. Almost everything finds it way back somehow. In nature there are hundreds, in social life there are ow so many, in business, in science, hell even in religion and candy there are circles to be found.

And so, it isn't at all interesting to study these circles, you could be studying for the rest of your lives. Understanding them, basically why not assume everything goes in circles? That way we only need to understand those things that don't go in circles.

The most important of these anti-circles, lets call them lines, is of course energy consumption. All energy we use comes from somewhere and once it is used, it is gone, and we can never regain it completely. It is actually a law of physics for that. So energy moves in lines.

But there is another one, albeit it might contain a few circles, so loop corrections aside. That is essentially also a line. And that is our life and the choices we make. It isn't a really straight line but it isn't a circle. That is because we have to make choices, choice that change the future, but also that make it unable for us to reverse them completely, for this too actually there are physics experiments to prove it.

And this strikes me as ironic. I mean we all know 'The circle of life' But who told us that our life isn't a circle at all. That the decisions we make will proof to be like energy, not completely retractable.

So I ask of you all, is it comforting to know that you'll never be stuck in loops. And that every day you do something that makes it impossible to ever go back to the way things were?

I bet you for a Mars bar that the answer to that question really defines just how happy you are with your life, and how much you should change it.
