Copenhagen 2

(Pete Philly & Perquisite - Fish to Fry)

Copenhagen 2
Food and the view

Naturally I buy food in Copenhagen. And though I probably not know all the ins and outs yet, I must say it isn't cheap. There is about a 30 to 40 percent increase of cost. Which isn't much of a problem. But, well the quality is also less. Let us start with the cheese, sure I am used to good cheese for little money, but the cheese here is like Emmentaller just less nasty.

The potatoes here are tiny, even the largest potatoes I could find are small in comparison to the Dutch ones. No idea why, I do have to adjust my over rhythm drastically. And so I do with my spending, cheapest here is about as expensive as luxury at home. Aw well, I'll show you a little of the view, as I don't want to show my room until all my stuff is here yet. So my front window:

And my rear kitchen window:

And if you are wondering, yes all the buildings look like that. I have a very socialistic feeling here. Architecture hasn't lived all that strong in copenhagen for the last 200 years or so. Also the building with the light from it is the washing building. Where amazingly the longest washing program takes less then an hour. Which isn't quite enough to wash really dirty clothing in. I am amazed at this, why put laundry programs that don't actually work so great? Also in this country I would have expected more different kinds of food, like

fish.
